ok i just sold my v6 2001 mustang for 10700 and i found this guy who is selling his v6 mustang for money for school so i needs to get rid of it quick it has a 11pse procharger on it with 300hp and 290 torque should i just on this or should i stay with my original plan and stick with the v8? i really want a gt but it will cost me about 13000 for a nice one. this v6 is has full package leather stick and all. would this car be faster than a v8? what should i do? i like that its 5000 cheaper i could mod it more with that money so i dont know i figured id ask the peoples with v8 on there appionion on this? what would you do?

if i were you i would wait and get the GT, stick with your original plan man. Don't settle. At some point you will max out with mods on that V6.

Why not get the GT, start with your normal bolt on's and then save up to get a supercharger for your GT? it would be much faster than the V6 ever could be. build up your GT the right way.

Whats your goal? daily driver? street, strip? etc etc.... i was once told "there is no replacement for displacment".............. get the V8

Since the car already has apower adder, I say go for the six. Most other people will probably tell you to get a V8. 300rwhp is more than enough to put a hurting on most GT's you run across, baring equal drivers and conditions.

Oh, and as for the six running out of potential, it depends on how far you want to go. You can get the six to 400+ rwhp with the right set up. Even more, with more $$ to spend and some creativity.

i want to one day be able to scrape off vets and camaros. will i be able to up the boost on the six to make it do that? or should i just get the 8 and mod it up? the six is about 5000 cheaper too. i need it to be a daily driver too. but wouldnt the six be good for that as long as i didnt smash on it so it didnt hit boost?

speed cost's $$$ how fast do you want to go? ehhh maybe I say get the GT cuse i have one. Although redfire03gt makes a good point, my vote is for the GT. Either way good luck with your choice man.

No one ever said it was a stock motor. The V6 motors are not as frail as people make them out to be. Any motor can crap out for what ever reason. I'm sure there will be someone who will chime in with some V6 horror story about how the motor went out for 'no reason' and is over all a pos. Honestly, do some research and don't listen to bias opinions. You can get a car that already has forced induction and to top it off, 300rwhp for a V6 isn't half bad but, it's definately not it's peak potential.

I say GT and here's why. You can easily get over 300 hp out of the GT without even going F.I. Just do cams and basic bolt-ons and you're faster than the SC'd sixer. My other reason is that you'll never get the same sound out of a v6....although maybe you don't care about that, but i would. Plus the v8 rumble has more panty-dropping power.

I agree, plus i wouldn't want a 6 cylinder in a "muscle car."

On the other hand, the displacement quote doesn't work on the little 2.7TT Audi S4.

Well after my cams and tune (290s) I think a run with that 6r would be pretty close. But remember it only makes that 300 at peak PSI, and RPM. Below that, I wouldnt be surprised if I got him. (My car right now peaks at 4800 and holds the 248.9 until 5500...should be simular after cams)I will also be pulling 310ish RWTQ, vs the 290 with the 6. Its pretty hard to say, but it would be a good run. I tell you though, you would take 90% of all the GTs out there in the 6, and it would make em feel BAD getting raped by a 6 LOL. Like said the V8 sounds and you would get more respect at a red light with a cammed GT over a 6 with a whistle...especially from the hotrod croud. So my vote goes for the GT. More potential, more torque, better interior, 150 speedo/8K tach(dunno, just wished I had a 150/8K when i was driving my dads 6 before i got my GT LOL), more respect, 8inch rearend (WITH POSI), tougher tranny and MUCH better sound. JMO.

A 11psi procharger only makes 300hp? Wow. Glad I'm going KB.
