Hello all,

I recently purchased an MAF from ebay before I was educaated on how these things worked. I just thought you choose the size and you're good to go. I found out with some self research that I have a ford MAF code F4SF-12B579-AA and this was actually used on the 94-95 Thunderbird V-6 without the supercharger. ARGH!

Now for my engine info. I have an 87 5.0 mustang engine with 190cc edelbrock heads, and an Explorer intake that I am gonna have ported by T Moss with the original 65MM throttle body. I also have an A9P computer that I will be using with the MAF. BTW, I am going to use this engine in a FFR Cobra.

So my question is, finally can this MAF I have even work for this setup or do i only have an overpriced paperweight.

If this can be used somehow or modified please let me know, and if it can't work... what kind of MAF should I be looking for. I am also trying to do this as inexpensively as possible too.

Thanks for all your help guys

look for a F1ZF-12B579-AA OR A E9ZF-12B579-AA

Calibration based on your number is incorrect for an A9P EEC

Common misconception is 19# calibration is universal for every Ford vehicle.

Can I just buy the black piece with the codes you recommended and reuse this tube or do I have to buy a whole thing?

You could just get the sensor out of a junkyard and keep the same housing.
