I need help

first of All I live in Turkey and I have a 90 2.3 LX automatic on 5000 miles.
This car was sleeping in the garage for 6 years.What I want to do is,to get it ready for drag races in here.
I want to put a turbo on.
My question is,
WHAT CAN I DO )
what parts can I use?Where can I find the parts.
(no modification on car.still standard)

I have absolutly no idea the specifics of going about this in Turkey, but you need to find a turbo motor. Putting all the internals into a N/A 2.3 is too costly and time consuming. Find a cheap 87 of 88 thunderbind turbocoupe use the engine, clutch, and rear end. This is probably the most econimical mothod. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure like him on what your going to find lying around in your country and you may have to order your parts. I normally push to look for a 87-88' TC (turbo coupe) but in your case you may have limited choices. With this is mind I would look for something you can get a 2.3T from like : 85-89 Merkur, 83-86' couger XR-7 and 86-88' TC. Now they did put these motors in SVO's and GT 350 mustangs in 83-84 but that would be a shame to part those cars out. I would probly shoot for the Merkurs since they was a Export model for Europe and may find one close to you easier than the others.

do I need to change the engine?
Some people said that they can install a Gareett AiResearch T-3 turbo with vw passat intercooler and etc. to the standard engine.Bcs it's really hard to find American 4 cly.s here.We have V-8's here.

It may actually be cheaper for you to buy it in parts. Because I am sure shipping a whole engine to you will be expensive. If you look over Stinger's site it will have everything you need to have for the swap and how to do it.
