I need opinions!!!

do yourself a favor. dont come on here crying that you are laid off from work, poor, and have to help the family out with money so you have to sell your mach and then ask for opinions on what weekend toy you want.

I would buy a Jeep Wrangler or something like a Ford Bronco or a 2 door Tahoe. They can be pretty reliable and easy to work on if something does brake and you can still have some fun in one of those untill you get back on your feet. I love 4x4 trucks or suv's and that is what most Mustang people do if they get board of their Mustang... get a 4wd.

Good luck! Also I have seen alot around $4000 on craigslist, I know I am a craigslist addict. lol...

lol, well, i just like to vent. as some have seen and read. But whatever. Im getting very little income from selling parts on ebay. But yeah, if I get any of those cars that I want and its up to DD standards, Ill sell the coupe. Oh and no i did not buy the coupe. it was a clean trade-off.

now it just hit me. I can buy a manual ranger for about $700 as a beater for everyday use. and with the spare $3000, I could turbo my mustang and do alot of work to it. maybe not even turbo. go n/a with an aluminum head, bigger TB, etc.

damn bro u remind me off me when i was ur age..had to have a nice ride all the time...but now i wish i had not spent like i spent. With no work for me i try not to spend any money if i can help it....trust me bro bank your money and let it build on intrest .....

Wow, dude, you have no income and you want to blow 4g's modifying a 2.3 Mustang? Didn't you just say you had to sell the Mach because you don't have enough income to help pay the bills? Do you realize that makes ZERO sense?

I will say it one more time. If you choose to ignore it again then its your problem from that point on. Sell the Mach, BANK THE CASH so that you can LIVE off of it while you DON'T have much income. It will support you until you DO have income. If you want to use a couple HUNDRED bucks to clean up your notch and make it a good, clean and reliable daily driver then do THAT but do NOT blow that money on another money pit weekend car which will only put you in the same EXACT situation that you are currently in with the Mach. Your notch provides you with reliability and economy but hey, you still get to rock a Mustang.

I am driving a damn Bronco II right now because I knew that if I got a Mustang, I would pour tons of money I don't have into it. I am now looking into getting a Mustang because I am in a little bit better position, but I know I will have to be smart about how I approach the project.

Times are tough all over, and you can't expect to just keep skating along having fun and spending money on toys when you don't even have money to pay bills. Get your priorities straight, man

Sorry for coming off like a jerk but I have been down this road myself more than once and I know how it feels to be a young car enthusiast. Fact is that as you drive down the road, no one is checking you out and judging you poorly because you are driving something sensible instead of flashy and loud. Do what you gotta do now, and later it will pay off.

no not really. me and my mom made a deal. If i do all of her grocery shopping, going to the post office and doing all her errands, she'll pay off my bills. But I get you guys. I think i will put it into my savings account and let it build up for a while. and whenever I get a good amount of money, ill put it in there. with interest building up on it, and when i get a job ill put $20 a week, with that my money will build up and then ill really be able to find a car to work on. But yeah ill have it there also for emergency purposes.
