I have 98 gt I'm fixing to buy some new break pads for it. I was looking for some break pads that have low brake dust output and that will work better than Auto Zone pads. I was looking at the Hawk Performance break pads and were wondering if they are any good. I have also thought about the EBC green stuff break pads. What do you guys think would be a good choice? I have stock rotors for now but I'm gonna upgrade to drilled or slotted rotors later.
thanks

I use Hawk pads and love them. I'll never use that stock ford crap ever again.

hawk pads rock. but dont ever use drilled rotors on a road course, unless the holes are cast with the rotors.

You can get Hawk pads from autozone. I believe they run $79 for the complete front set.

What about Raybestos ceramic pads? The pricing for them is all over the map (from $60 to $120) so I'm not sure what to buy for the wife's GT.

Regarding Hawk pads, are they semi's or ceramic???

Wagner Thermo Quiets here and I love them. I have them on both cars. No noise, not much brake dust at all and they last too. I think they are about 50$ at Oreily's.

ya but the wagners tend to not have a good of a stopping distance. i know thats what we use at my work and they absolutely suck. they have sooo many comebacks for squealing. the techs get pissed cause they do the job right, but the pads just suck.
