For the last year-ish I have been slowly restoring a 1986 Ford Mustang. I purchased a new hood for it. The hood is from the Mach I, and it is modified to fit into my car. I was just wondering if there was some sort of piece that fits onto the top of the hood. (Like a mesh, or a screen) Something for the holes on it. You will know what i'm talking about when you see the picture. I don't really know what they are called. Well I need to know where I can buy some if there is such thing as them.

Depends on who you buy the hood from. Some come with a mesh grill while others are completely open. There isn't any add-ons though, so if you want a mesh grill, it will need to be custom.

It looks like its supposed to have something put into there. I found a picture of the piece, but its too big to upload.

Well that's a real Mach 1, so it's hood is functional

The one you have is pretty much for show...although Cervinis does have a hit to convert it into a functional ram air hood. Maybe that's what you are talking about.

Okay thanks. That sucks though, I have already spent thousands on this car, and i'm still looking at about $6000 to finish it, so I dont really wanna do any "more" modding on it lol.

PS: Just found this link that proves me wrong...

Make sure to take the dashes out again.
