I need some legal help with my tranny

Ok i got a tko put in my car and it's got something wrong with it. I even had 2 mechcanics from the place who put it in ride with me and they both said there was something wrong with it. It's not my fault either, i drove the car nice and all for at least 1000miles. So i take it in to the shop and say whats wrong with it, and i want it fixed, and they say it might not be covered because of the oil that was put in my transmission at a quick lube place. The lube place said the rear seal is leaking and that i should have it looked at. I just told them to please refill the transmission so it'll be okay till i can have it looked at. I wasnt specificly told from any guys at the shop to put in a certain kind of oil it needs, which i now know is GM syncromesh after a little homework. Im pretty sure the lube shop didnt put in Gm syncromesh into my tranny. The guy at the shop said tremec will sample my oil and if its not sycromesh then i'll not be covered. Im gonna get a lawyer i think, but im out 3000$ from the freaken tranny/install, so i cant really aford it. What should i do?

I'm kind of in the same boat.

I just got a tko500, pampered it for a while while breaking in the new SPEC clutch. It grinds in 4th and reverse. i spoke to tremec and they were giving me the runaround. i kind of let it go for a while. I know I shouldn't. If you get any advice on what to do. let me know.

You can probably take them to small claims court if they won't replace it.

Take the tranny out, empty out the gear oil, Clean all the parts down with brake clean, and then put GM Synchromesh in it. They aren't going to take it to the FBI forensics lab over a warranty claim.

Sounds like a plan to me! Well worth $3k for the trouble.
