I need to remove the engine again..

You dont have to remove the tranny with the motor if you dont want to. With the exception of having to unbolt a few other things sometimes it is easier to take it all out in one big piece though.

If you dont mind me asking, why are you taking the motor out to begin with?

Because the motor is dead, 0 psi on the first cylinder, and 70,90,75 on the others, so I have to take it out, disasemble it, change the pistons rings, reasemble it and finally put it in.
 
Exsplain to me your situation. Obviously you have some compression trouble.
Is your motor all together, or do you have the followers out? If your cam timing is not set right you will get low (read: 0 ) compression tests'. There really is no other way
(besides a fat hole in a piston or cylinder wall, unlikely)
To get 0 on a compression check.
 
Ok, I've start to do a swap, from a 2.3Ln/a to a 2.3T from a thunderbird '86

I've done all the step needed to make it work, but unfortunatly, that car isn't starting at all...

I have done a compression test, and all the test failed, so I have to get the engine out of the car , and open it to see what's wrong inside of this motor.
And now I'm asking you if I should remove the tranny with the engine.

My timing is ok..

Did you try a wet compression test? If the compression numbers don't change, then it is NOT THE BOTTOM END. With attroctius compression numbers like that, I have trouble imagining that it is the bottom end. Do a wet compression test, and if it turns out to be the top end, just pull the head instead of the whole engine.
 
Amen. Tripple-double checking your timing is very important. No It doesnt always solve the problem, but usualy its the most common mistake, even if you have done it multiple times.

Crank at TDC (or TC depending on cover)
Cam Pointed at alignment tab
Dizzy Rotor (take the cap off) pointed at the number 1 plug wire.

You still have to set the timing to 10* btdc after it starts.

yeah, you put a little oil in each cylinder and try the test again. The oil seals the rings up better and prevents blowby. Do a search online to see how much oil to put in. A little seems to go a long ways in terms of smoke.
