is there any sure way of knowing what gears were installed into my car before I bought it? Someone mentioned that i should have someone pace me to 80mph and if my tach is 2700 -2900 that it'd be 4.10 and a little less would be 3.73. I'm guessing mine are 3.73, but then i just recently found out that there exists a 3.90. so what if its that instead.. do i need to tear into the car to find out for sure? What's involved in that? I'm sorry.. I'm new to this platform. I know nothing about this car other than it's a whole hell of a lot of fun to actually drive.

Thanks in advance,

Eric

oh no kidding? it's that easy? so how many rotations for 4.10, 3.90 and 3.73's?

here's another question.. where are good jack points? I can jack up on the rear diff? and then put stands where the manual says to lift the car on the sides?

I've jacked up the rear using the differential. But another good spot is where the suspension connects to the frame. Count the revolution of the DS: for 4.10's it will spin 4.10 times for every rotation of the tire, 3.90 times for 3.90 gears and so on.
