Well I've decided to give up on my car. Its cuz I have no time, nowhere to work on the car on a regular basis, little money, and no patience for the car now. My mom is moving to London this month so she is giving me her 99 cougar. I'm just trying to figure out what I'm gonna do with the car. Should I part it out or should I sell it outright? I dont think I can get much for the car right now, but if I part it out, I'll get a little more. I'll have my parent's garage to keep it in for a month or 2 to sell parts.

The main things I'll sell are my hood (crack on the underside), headlights, motor either together or seperate the head and the block, manual tranny, the locking 7.5 rear, the exhaust with the stock downpipe and no cat, wheels & tires. There's really nothing special about the other parts of the car so those can go for whatever. It runs still and has about 5k on the motor. I dunno. What you guys think?

Personnally, I hate to "scrap" a stang, but if you think it's better like that, it's your choice, but I would say give me your 7.5 lock!

But think about it twice to be sure...

The car has been nothing but a headache ever since I blew that first brand new turbo in February, then blew a second one a week later b/c of problems that I think i fixed. I just dont have time for a project and the car can do better in someone else's hands

So I would say, sell all the parts you can, remove everything mecanical, and sell the body and write : "Good car for a V8 convertion" or something like that.. sell it 1000$(the body)

As a whole I dont think its worth much but there are lots of parts that are new and some i forgot like the rear TC sway bar, the LA3 computer, big VAM, ported and flow tested head, lightened flywheel, racing turbo clutch, new internals in the head like the cam bearings lifters and camshaft, the gutted upper and knife edged lower intake, volvo IC, new ranger radiator...man the more i write, the more I think i'm just gonna part it out. It should sell for a good amount.

I dunno how much I would sell the entire car for. I dont think I'll get even close what its worth in parts unless it goes to a turbo guy. I think I can part it out and get about 800-1000 for it. If I were to sell it as is, running and all, I would probably get about 500 for it, if that.

erm, willing to part with the front end? if you caught my thread, i was in an accident and i need the drivers side QP, hood, bumper assembly, and drivers side headlights. THink we might could work something out? i might be making a trip up there VERY soon....

I wont start parting the car out til the 5th of July at least. I dunno if you can wait that long. I read your thread. Sorry to hear that. I think my hood is already claimed though. Its a fiberglass hood too. Most of the other stuff should be available.

im the closest so i get first dibs hey khal were you talkin bout me havin dibs on the hood because i want it and the head lights and the clutch setup and maybe the head lol all depends on what i can afford if you wanna get rid of the whole thing for like 500 ill buy it all lol i dunno keep me informed because i deff want some stuff oh yea cant forget the gears in the rear lol sorry to hear you partin it out though i was hoppin i wouldnt be the only one around here( wit a turbo 4 stang) but now i am :damnit: oh well well 351 is in the mountains maybe he will drive to richmond dragway one friday night or somethin keep in touch wit us lata

I can wait as long as needed, and the hood isnt *really* needed, mostly the LH QP and bumper assembly, since its in *real* bad shape. I might actually buy a GT or Cobra before then though,so we'll see

U sure it was me? Nothing up with my fenders...the hood doesnt like to lay flat anymore...

The tC is going to have a factory option for a supercharger on their 2.4L. Thats the only size motor they come with. in the meantime, you can get TRD (kinda like Motorcraft except its for Toyota & Scion) turbo thats supposedly wicked fast. 300whp on a Scion tC? Sounds pretty good to me and it wont void the warranty if they put it on. The car comes base with 160hp if i remember right. I'll keep you guys informed.

i guess its from where the hood wasnt sittin right is y ur fenders looked funny but it was ur hood headlights and that 2.3 exaughst you were headin the opposite way of me and i heard the exaughst when you passed i dunno the tc sounds kool keep us informed

If you do decide to part it out I'd be interested in the Vam, ECU, tail lights, and gills valve.
