I think I'm going to buy a Focus for a daily driver.

ive been looking at the jetta tdi. they are a little over 20 but they get great mileage.

Those TDIs get awesome mileage and Diesel at least where I am is anywhere from .30-.45 cheaper per gallon. I don't think Diesel will go up as much this summer either.

I think were going to replace our focus with either a mazda speed 6 or a Ford Fusion v6 Sel here in a year or 2

I've had an '04 SVT 5-door for about 8 months and love it. I had an 03 COBRA before that and a '91 notch before that. This SVT Focus handles far better than either of those and is WAY more comfortable. Oh, and I average 28-33 mpg freeway, 25-28 city.
