I think it needs a turbo timer...

the turbo just gets a little hot when you drive it hard.

:D

keeps the car idling for a set ammount of time then shuts off... that way after running around in boost for any ammount of time and then parking doesnt let the turbo sit there and boil the oil to hell and back and create big problems... its for people who dont know how to sit there for 3 minutes and let their car idle... you can do the same thing with a car remote start kit.... just dont engage the starter wire... when u drive it hard, just push the button and engage the alarm's ignition relay... after 3 minutes or so it turns off automatically or if anyone gets in teh car and presses the brake...

photoshoped... why are the headers only hot like halfway down? they should be glowing red closer to where all the combustion is happening...

actually i believe they are glowing on that end because the trubo is making all the heat (notice the turbo is glowing too) not the combustion. though i could be wrong.

there is a video of a porsche doing this but it glows a more pink color.

remember there is about 30+psi of exhaust gas in front of the turbo, Theres about a 1:2 ratio , so if theres 15lbs of boost then theres about 30psi of exhaust in fornt of the turbo. And as it builds up the closer it is to the turbo as you notice there it get more red as it get closer to the turbo, and where the header is its just the heat of one cylinder so it wont be has hot, and nere the turbo its all 4 cylinders exhaust heat so it will be hotter, its kinda like the the header is 4 river and they all flow into a big river and the turbo is a dam all that water builds up. :D thats a funny ways of describing how a turbo works

I doubt it's photoshopped, maybe some but not to change the content jsut the lighting/shading.
The Porsche pic (I assume your refering to the one where he's on the track and you see to glowing turbos hanging out of the cars ass) is outside with totaly different lighting, and was probably also brightened up. I don't think comparing the color could accurately guage the legitmacy of the picture.

oh yeah and cool, er you know :nice: Youl'd think they'd wanna intercool somthing like that  The air is proably burning throughout the whole engine.

lol, it's a little thing I like to call "light" haha. things glow a lot easier in the dark than in direct light...

but look really carefully at the far left of the picture and you can make out the one tube that is faintly glowing even in the direct light...now that is some heat there...
