I THINK MY CLUTCH IS DONE

believe it or not im still on my first clutch,(well since i owned the car)
i think its shot, when i accel hard the engine just slips and then it feels like it grabs then slips again, if im going to slow in any gear i give it gas and it revs and acells slowly. if this sounds like the clutch is shot let me know, if so whats a good cluth kit, i heard good things about the king cobra kit, any others, im pushin 400+hp on the squeeze.

Kinda sounds like a bad clutch, yep...mine would accel very poorly when it was slipping...imagine that. I replaced it with a Centerforce II...mostly stock car (my 90 LX 5.0). My GT actually has a King Cobra clutch, but it was in there when I got it. I've heard a lot of good things about SPEC clutches and you might consider a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch as well. 400 hp is prob. a little much for a Centerforce II.

yep, you are slipping from the sound of it. i am goin to use a Spec when i do mine. talk to Perky in here. he will know what stage you need. they can handle outrageous amounts of power and torque. i have heard people say something bad about every clutch, except never about Spec. try a search on "best clutch" or spec clutch. i bet you like what you read.
