Sell the blower, buy a short block instead. Save up for the blower. That way you'll short block would be nice and broken in when it's time for the blower. But that's just my 2 cents.

Or throw the blower on, find a used low mileage 4.6L engine and build it up. That way you'll have a back up engine.

97k is nothing on these engines. Also, not WOT? What's the point of the supercharger? Install it, tune it, drive it like you stole it, then when it FINALLY breaks, you get a built shortblock. Don't fix it unless it's broken, and there's no point in driving around in a SC car if you can't go WOT.

This is the second time ive heard about the SCT MAF, i just bought the lightening MAF, is there a difference between the two?

Yea just a bigger MAF, you really don't need one unless your pushing alot of boost and making alot of power. You really need a built engine to handle the boost you need, to make to max out the Lightning MAF.

Yeah until the tickets stacked up...then you would be looking at a nice big impound bill and some court fees to go along with that blower

I didnt mean I go WOT up to 140 MPH or sumthin. I was talking about WOT through 1st & 2nd & sometimes the occasional 3rd gear drop on the highway. Why own a stang & not get on it or shift early everytime. yeah maybe if your packin like 450+rwhp you dont have to go to the redline, but when u got a measly 300hp U need to rev all u can to go fast. When I got my mach a year ago it felt fast as hell, now Im used to it so i need more.

well its not the motor. I hooked up my xcal II and read the codes and got P1260 which is for PATS system. It won't allow the car to run. I cleared it but I may need to reset the fuel pump or something.

Well I got the car running. It wasn't PATS either. Get this, when the shop installed my fuel pump somehow the sending unit was not installed correctly so it was showing a full tank of gas in there when really it was empty. The whole time all I needed was some friggin gas!!!!!!

Did your check engine light come on at all? My 00 Lincoln LS started doing the same thing. Everytime I stopped at a light and it idled, it stalled. It turned out to be a vacuum leak. The lower intake gasket went bad and the pcv valve. Sounds like it could possibly be a vacuum leak. Same characteristics as what happened with my LS.
