I've heard putting a wheel on it with a shank style lug will help too, not the factory acorn lug like I had on it. I guess it's time to buy some Weld Draglights...

Nate!
Holy *&%$ that was close! It is a good thing you didn't race last week. Did you hear about my carnage? The 68 firebird in true street blew up in the tower lane at about half track and sent a connecting rod over into my windsheild! The only good thing was it didn't go through but I did have to spring 215$ for a new windsheild! I have the weirdest stuff happen when I race....at least I didn't split a big block pontiac block in half!!! I tried leaving on boost with the rev limiter and all I got was tire smoke. I'm moving up to a full 28x10.5 slick for next year which should put me into the low tens.. we'll see.

Wow! Never thought of that being a problem (coming from a slow car).

Worst I've had was dead hooking and the half shaft twisting before snapping off at the line.

They are what came with the Strange axle package. I've got ARP studs in it now.

Just drill the axle for all 10 studs when you get the draglites. Problem solved.
