So I'm thinking Maximum Motorsports is a little pricey. I bought an SVO MC and the adapter kit to install it. Two days later I get a cast iron master cylinder and one small brass fitting. $15 for a freakin fitting!! I thought SVO MC's were aluminum and the Lincoln ones were iron? Did they screw me? I paid 80 bucks for this heavy turd!!

The SVO's have aluminum ones. You have the Lincoln MC, still the same, just made out of iron instead.

I got mine for like $25-30 at Autozone, and got the fittings from a junkyard for like a buck :)

What are you doing for brakes that you need such a big MC? This MC was only designed for SVO brakes, or similar sized setups (but not smaller)

Well, Matt told me on his site that an 85 Town car MC would work but it doesnt without adapters that I cant find. So I'm going to return that one to kragen and get the aluminum svo one. As for maximum crap, I'm going to get a full refund whether they like it or not because I'm a little pissed they would try and pass a lincoln MC off as an SVO MC.

Get the fitting from a junkyard, LTD's have the same fittings at the MC I think, I got one fitting from an LTD (the other was stuck), and another from some old ford car, I don't even know what it was, just look for a similar looking MC or a Mark VII

You ain't the only one that happened to. I got the same overpriced stuff. Cast iron m/c and adapter lines that wouldn't even seal off! I called them about it, but since I'd "modified" the lines trying to make them work, they said they wouldn't do anything but sell me another set. It's all collecting dust on a shelf in my garage now. That's the first and last time I'm dealing with MM.

I went to Kragen last night and bought a reman for $20, and it should be here today. I emailed MM, and they even admitted that they couldn't source any SVO MCs which admits to me that they know they aren't SVO units but they are selling them as so. I've done enough dumpster diving for my car and there aint crap in the yards around San Diego. By the time I get gas, drive down to the yard, pay to get in, and then pay for the part, I'm only saving a little and for a used part. I'd rather just pay for this small adapter and not have to mess with lines. I'll keep the fitting, and return the iron MC. SCREW Maximum Motorsports!!
