Lately there has been much speculation about and O/r X losing hp due to the lack of back pressure. now it isnt really backpressure we want its like delta pressure i dunno, thats an entire other thread somewhere.

Also- a side exhaust system is supposed to increase back pressure and you lose some HP.

so if you paird an offroad X (supposed to lose back pressure) with a side exhaust (extra back pressure) wouldnt they balance out and actually give you more hp somehow?

example (assume all these cars are exactly the same and dynoed the same etc.)

car 1- side exhaust+ off road X
car 2- side exhaust+ catted X
car 3- regular exhaust+ off road X
car 4- regular exhaust+ catted X

would car 1 have the most hp?

There is no need to think so much, you are nowhere near having to much backpressure with any 2.5" exhaust setup. Out the back exhaust with an o/r x pipe will easily make the most power.

agreed.......no back pressure on these stangs equal zero power......but with a little back pressure you get the most power.......Ive got O/R X with flowmasters and dumps......as long as you have some sort of mufflers you will have enough back pressure to make good power....

Dont think so hard....your gonna hurt your self.
