I am currently saving up for a supercharger (still not sure which) and was wondering how much boost my stock 96 Cobra block can take before the big BOOM! Since this is my only car so I also want to make sure I have enough money left over for a rebuild should things go wrong. I have never rebuilt a mod motor before so I figure another 3k or so? At least if I blow it I can finnaly take it apart to fix the damn ticking noise

Go turbo instead. The shop where I get my work done installed a turbo and a 2V 02 gt. He dynoed at 383rwhp and still gets great gas mileage. When I save enough that's the direction I'm going.

I decided to get a KB 2.1L twin screw b/c I want the torque in the low end. 10lb pulley, tune, LMAF, boost-a-pump and extra pullies for $3800, all I have to buy are 42lb injectors and I will have 400-425 rwhp

I would recommend the Vortec V2SQ.....I have over 10,000 supercharged and trouble free miles. It made 414RWHP. KB only make about 380RWHP, and they heat things up really quick. I would stay away from KB's on 96-01 Cobras.
