What is the cheapest way to get reliable boost? What I want is the ATI Intercooled but rather spend money on supporting cast.

Probably a do it yourself turbo kit would be the cheapest with the most gains. You could also buy an s/c or turbo kit, but they will obviously cost more.

You should check out the thread in this section that says "...why do I want a turbo so bad...here's why" .
