most of the guys on this site actually tint the taillights with a spray called niteshades... I don't know of anyone running covers anymore..

As for the front, you can buy smoked headlight assemblies that look far better than covers and are still DOT legal...

This is what a few light coats of Niteshades looks like.. Then clearcoat over that...

Headlights from Blue oval industries.com

$189 for the set...

More expensive than covers, but definately worth it in the end...

The only tail light covers I know of are the big one piece GTS covers(actually light cover).

GTS also makes a one piece headlight cover that simply clips to the headlight lens.

Like turbogt said, the easiest way would probably be to buy some smoked head lights/tail lights. You can find them on e-Bay, just make sure they are from a good company.

google headlight tinting.

Guys seem to like getting a model car tint spray over night shades. I have also read where guys simply have paint/body shops mix up some clear with a drop or 2 of black. (a good true black, not one with any purple/brown hues)

Look up how to prep it and wet sanding after to get them to look like glass. I got into using nightshades years ago before it was really big, and with no painting experience, the results are definately not satisfactory with what i know now.

Good luck!

I used model car windshield paint on my explorer.. As a matter of fact, I threw the can away a couple of days ago when I was cleaning out my garage..

The model car paint faded really quickly, even with a clearcoat on top of it.. Within a few months, you could barely tell my taillights had been tinted.....

My niteshades is going on a couple of years strong now...
