supercharger
nos
4.10 gears

4.10 gears would be the cheapest route to go.

My Friend had an S2000, cant remember what year though, but, he would run 14.4 all day, and he had a cold air intake. (I read somewhere that they dont take mods to well). Those things rev up to 9000 rpms. It doesnt sound like he beat you by that much so I think 4.10s could do the trick. Get the gear and if that dont work, get PI heads, and if that dont work.....You know how it goes

an off road H-pipe was a major kick for my 98 GT 5 spd. It gave me the edge to hang with many cars I never had a chance to.

Next on my list: head swap.

GEARS ARE A MUST, OFF THE LINE BETTER, PLUS THAT EXTRA EDGE AROUND REV 5,500 RPM, 4:10 MAY BE TO HIGH THOUGH TRY 3:73 AND A HEAVY DUTY CLUTCH

Some say poorer mileage, some say better. I say poorer, if you drive the same way you did before.

If you get gears then you have to calibrate your spedo. I say gears or H-pipe but you did pretty darn good for stock. Props

S2000's Arn't that fast, they are about equil to a 99+ GT and they paid a lot more for it. Even if you go super charger you'll still be under what he paid.. more than likely anyway. But yeah, 4.10's will be cheapest in the short term untill you add up the extra gass you'll burn.

I think you did very well to against that s2k. if Im not mistaken, they're sweet spot is like at 7k or somethin like that. I say get the gears, it seems like either 3.73's or 4.10's would have put you over the edge.

i'd save up for a headswap before i thought about gears. go to a junkyard and snag the intake/heads off a 99+ gt and youll bring in a good 40hp. then a midpipe and mufflers, 4.10s and a good tune. in that order...

that will MORE than 'push you over the edge', S2Ks will be a joke with those mods.
