I want to see more foxes on mm&ff!!!...

As far as replacements? Top Gear (the UK version of course), Road & Track,

I don't care for those magazines that cover high-end new cars because a lot of times the editors/authors are snobs and will talk down a $50K car because it uses faux wood grain instead of real wood. For example, I was reading a Motor Trend the other day that had a article comparing the Grand Sport Corvette to a GT500, and they were taking points away from the Corvette because it had no rear seat. WTF? Really? They always find nit-picky **** to bitch about, and talk about 6-digit cars like everybody can afford to own one.

hot rod and car craft. Hot Rod has a bunch of different stuff thats cool and i just love the tone of Car Craft. you can tell they are writing not as magazine guys, but as car guys, and there isnt 200 pages of advertisements in each issue

Amen. They had a turbo Fox in CC not too long ago, and they were talking about how they helped him push start it a couple times, haha.

NikwoaC, you are right about some of that stuff. But I read Top Gear for the same reason I download every episode of the show that is put out. The writing and execution are brilliant 98% of the time. Top Gear approaches cars from so many angles that it's not just a £100,000 supercar blowout in every issue.

That and Jeremy Clarkson is always hillarious.

i agree, ive never read Top gear in print, i love the TV show, but as far as C&D, and R&T etc. i swear the writers in those magazines have the sandiest vaginas this side of california.

I agree with that, i hate british humor, but that show cracks me up.

Yep. I bought MM&FF and 5.0 faithfully during the 90's. Back then the latest issue couldn't come soon enough. Now when I see one on the rack I'll quickly browse through it but rarely do I find them worth buying.

+1, I was a subscriber from 88 til the early 90's when I raced my 5.0's, but Novembers MM&FF has the most Fox stuff I've seen in a long time. Didn't we discuss all this last winter?

my uncle has tons of hot rod mags stored in his closet might check hot rod out hopefully stang mags improve is anyone looking forward to sn-10 5.0's in the future when they are featured?

maybe we should have a sticky of every new pony mag reviewed from whoever has subscriptions.

I too have been a faithful subscriber to 5.0 mag for many years but when each issue arrives i wonder where the hell are the foxbodys, the first thing i do with a new issue is quick scan the mag for foxbodys then i shake my head:nonono: and start to read from the cover but i notice each mag takes less time to finish before it hits the pile in the bathroom.

It isn't so much the fact that the Mustang magazines don't feature a lot of Fox stuff that irritates me, it's how they push their sponsors/products. I've lost count of how many times they've skated around talking about the flaws in a product just to promote it. Watch for builds that have a component failure or don't come out as expected and notice how they will NEVER state the name of the manufacturer that made the faulty part, or they will just avoid saying that the part was faulty in the first place, and substitute it with another with little explanation. It's disgusting. I guess don't bite the hand that feeds, right?

the only thing ive seen worth while in mm&ff is the interior rebuild theyre doing on that green notch, i wanna see how they end up fixing that **** map light... cause mine doesnt work anymore. btw new member dont be alarmed.

Haha, same here. I quickly scan for Fox Body features or friends' cars, then I put it on the stack to read when I get some downtime. I don't bother reading most race car features or any tuner build articles. I do read every 'normal guy built a car' article though, regardless of the body style. I like that stuff considering I am that guy. After getting through those I read the editor columns, news, race coverage to see if anything exciting is happening, etc.

50&SF and MMFF I will always have as long as they're around. Modified I let expire since they changed format and I'm finding much, much less that interests me as the articles go on (I'll still check 'em out at the store in case something is really good though, but for $30+ a year for a sub I'd rather buy 1-3 at $5ea when the want arises). Mustang Enthusiast offers a free online copy of their magazine so I keep up with that. I think I still have a while on my subscription to them anyway though.

Car Craft has on the first page you see a blue notch lifting the wheels this month, very cool 1 page homage. Fastdriver has a sticky set up for submission of old print, I've submitted a couple, but I'm technologiclly challenged, and have none of the equipment to hit him with more:shrug:. Yet. Soon as the motor goes back together, I will. I keep telling myself that. Prolly not. It just ain't that important at my house!
