I have a (Black) 1996 Mustang GT I want to get bumper inserts
for.I narrowed it down to metallic silver or white non-reflective.
Do the non-reflective bumper inserts last longer than the reflective
ones? What color do think would look good on a "Black" stang?
What would be a good place to get them at? and finialy do you
think they look ricey? Thanks

I just bought some chrome ones for my Black 98. I haven't put them on yet, but I will post some pics for you when I do, if you are interested. I will probably put them on Thursday. If you want PM me your e-mail address and I will send them that way.

bumper inserts

Silver would look good on black...I've seen a black gt in my area and the silver inserts on black looked pretty cool.

Yeah - I have an opinion.... ill take pics if you're really dying to see em.... I have an 02 GT sandstone grey. I did black reflectives that i bought off ebay. They look incredibly cool. i would DEFINATELY do it again in a SECOND.

THE ONLY PROBLEM is, the non stainless steel, non chrome ones are like stickers. They are flimsy. some letters are a MASSIVE pain to get right, like the M and the S, so i pulled them up, because i didnt think they looked right, and re-stuck them (sometimes a few times). I think i restuck the M 3 times and the S 2 times. Those letters are starting to peel a little bit now. but the letters i got on right the first time are stuck like the day i put em on. the T for instance, that is really on there. I do keep my stang in a closed garage, and i dont drive it on rainy\snowy days, so that probably helps.

So my advice is, if you're going to put the stickers on, TAKE IT SLOW! be CAREFUL! i cant stress that enough. otherwise, they look phenominal, and really let people know, what that loud ass V8 that just blew past them on the road was, in both the daytime and the nightime!

I like the inserts especially on the lighter colored cars. I have reflective black inserts on my black GT. I've seen metallic silver and chrome inserts on black Mustangs and they look good. I'm not sure how white inserts would look. Probably not my style.

Yeah, bumper inserts rule. I have gold inserts on my forest green vert, looks nice with the tan top. On a black car, id go for the silver/chrome. Mustangworld has a nice selection and they don't cost much.

That's where I ordered mine from. They were only like 14 or 15 bucks.
