I decided I would go have a look around the car. I noticed 2 separate puddles of fluid underneath. I climbed underneath and had a look around.
Some of the liquid was on the blower bypass valve hoses. That hose runs up thru the bypass/relief valve and into the air inlet duct. I removed the air inlet duct to the procharger and found a small puddle of brown oil just in front of the turbine. Does anyone know what caused that?
Still this was not the cause of the 2 puddles. The puddles seemed to be coolant but there was not distinct path of leakage up the front of the motor or down the driver side where the 2 puddles were located. Searching around, ah ha, there it is. Its right there in the middle of the engine valley.
So a nice easy day off turned into a leaking PI intake and oil puddling inside the front of my blower. The intake there isn't much to talk about, just have to replace it, I assume. Can anyone tell me about the oil in the blower inlet though? Is this normal on a P1SC or all superchargers?
Other relative info is that the engine oil level is fine and doesnt have any traces of coolant inside of it. Its strange to me that the oil in front of the blower inlet is brown and the ProCharger blower oil, I put in it, is green.
