people would do mods properly to vehicles.

Long story made short...

I got my car in Dec. (had 3 mods done) 3:73's, electric waterpump, and clutch with flywheel (with adj. cable, quadrant etc)

in 6 months I have replaced:
Gears (all bolts were loose and shot gears, posi, bearings, and nearly blew a hole in the case.)

Electric waterpump (was wired into ecm, burned out a few things and took about 8 hours by ford master tech to get figured out)

Clutch (it's WAY too heavy... I have now replaced cable, an adjustable one.. 3 times it has stretched them out from all the peddle pressure... so I just ordered up a centerforce clutch)

I was at a point where I actually wanted to get rid of the car, cause I'm digging myself a hole here. I realized that I have now replaced every impropper and bad mod the previous owner has done so I think I'm safe.

So please people do mods properly.

As far as the clutch cable goes, the adjustable cables are cheaply made, are very crappy, & they break after time. the OEM Ford cable is the best one to use, along with a MM quadrant & firewall adjuster. no need to have a firewall adjuster & an adjustable cable....

Here read up on MM's cables/quadrant's/firewall adjuster...This is a direct quote from MM...

We have done a lot of research on clutch cables, buying and testing almost every different cable on the market we could find. We have found after all this investigation, that the OEM Ford Clutch Cables are the best quality cables available. They have a multi-material, layered construction that provides better heat, friction and collapsibility protection than all the aftermarket cables we dissected. With that in mind, we have begun selling all year ranges of factory cables, for those customers that demand a cable that will last.

We have developed a clutch adjustment package that will work with all OEM Ford cables. Our Quadrant, firewall package will allow the use of all OEM Ford cables (and adjustable cables, too), however the cables all require some minor modifications. I tried to use an oem one and I found that I could not get the cable on, there was no free play. I needed to use a BIG wrench to move the fork enough to get it in. Thats why I've had to use the BBK one. With the new clutch coming I should be okay because of the fact there can't be that much pressure on this clutch. He had a straight-up race clutch put in. Once I have this clutch in I will have a stock clutch cable in the garage, just in case.

Even with the adjustable ones there is barely enough room to put a jamnut on too, it goes on maybe 3 threads.

I know its more money to spend, but If you invest in the MM quadrant & adjuster, the stock cable will work with it & it will never break. The BBK cables are taiwan JUNK & they always break. My buddy's broke in his 03 cobra a few months back & he replaced the whole kit with an MM kit & its worked perfect ever since. I also have the kit in my 95 & am installing 1 in my Mach tomorrow....

My Motto is do your work right or go home.
The Centerforce DF clutch has a nice feel to it you will like it alot.
I agree get the Maximum Motorsport quadrant and adjuster
you will not regret it and it will fix your problem.

Use the Universal MM cable, after going throu several cables and stretching or breaking them I just got that one and when I sold that car the cable had been the best one I used. I had the FRPP quadrent on that car and the Steeda firewall adjuster so it went in and adjusted pretty easy

A.) you are wrong.
it's rare that adding mods actually adds value to a car. you have to find another speed junky who is willing to take a chance, or knows that the parts were installed properly to buy your car, to make a positive sale.

B.) watch your language and communicate in a more intelligent and respectful manor, or face being banned. you sound like a 15yr old crybaby.

It kind of sucks right now as the clutch is on back order. It's expected to ship out on the 20th. Until then I'm driving my pops Blazer. I plan on getting the mm cable if the BBK one doesn't last at all. I'm not rough on the car so it shouldn't be an issue, but only driving it will tell. I will be able to get warranty on it however if there is an issue.
I have also heard good things about this clutch, so I'm anticipating this. I've never tried one though because I've never had to replace a clutch in any of my stangs.
Well after this hopefully I can get into some mods that I actually want to do.

I'll keep you all posted as to the progress. (and also as to which clutch is in there, so you all know what to avoid.)

i know what you mean, I bought my car stock, and have been on all of the forums pretty heavily, and I see what people do and what works and what doesnt, and I've done all the mods myself. screwed a few up but fixed them for the most part.

there is a guy in my neighborhood, and he has a 2000 mustang gt. and he bought a bunch of UPR c/c plates, and other junk from them, and I was thinking dude, what are you thinking? his car is slammed way too low, the fender well is like about 1/2" off the tire, and it just doesn't look good at all. sometimes I wonder what people are thinking.

Yeah man i know what your talking about. I just bought a 01 GT with some minor boltons but the things that this guy did was crazy. He did some crappy install jobs.... He basically jimmy rigged the x-pipe and I just had to replace my limited slip differential because of a bad gear install.
