Hey there. I restored a '65 convertible as original about 2 1/2 years ago, 3,500 miles ago. I used the parts my father-in-law had collected over the 20 years he intended to restore it. They were the best he could find. So, Fresh '66 engine, (sturdier lower end), C4 curise-o-matic transmission, rear-end with new rebuild and new drum brakes, and everything else that will be cast off as a result of the swap.
