If it is the original tranny, it is a "lightweight" C4. Same tranny as in the V8, but with fewer clutches. Might even have other internals that are weaker. Nothing special or desireable.
I would think you could get a few dollars for the engine and transmission if you list it locally, assuming they still are functional.
Just noticed where you live, I am about an hour north of you. Would love to find a fastback in a barn. . . . .
