Hello, I am trying to install a chip on my 97 GT and it says to locate the IAT sensor plug. Does anybody know where This is or know where I can find an image or something that points it out.

uh, I need it explained much simpler. That's why I asked for a picture, i have no clue where it is.
ummm, ok, well there is a big black tube that goes from your airfilter housing to the throttle body. there will be 2 different plugs on it. You want the smaller one. that is the IAT sensor. It will have 2 small metal pins inside of the plug. The one with the 4 pins is the Mass Airflow sensor. you don't want that one. I hope that you don't damage your computer.......sounds like your new to the modding business. But hey, gotta start somewhere. :nice:

Well I ordered a Mod chip, which should be fairly simple to install. The directions read this:
"BEFORE PROCEEDING BE SURE TO DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY! THIS IS A MUST!!

1. Locate IAT Sensor plug
2. If it has more then 2 wires, thats not it
3. Unplug IAT sensor by lifting up the tab on the side of the plug and pulling the plug off.
4. Take one Mod supplied and gently bend into a U shape (should already of been done)
5. Put the two wire ends of the MOD into the two open holes located on the IAT plug. (The end
with the wires) One wire into each hole. Gently push it all the way down, but dont force it. Some people
snip the ends of the wire in the MOD a little shorter if it sticks up more then you like
6. Leave plug disconnected, and cover MOD and plug with electrical tape to protect it from the elements. Secure the loose plug with the MOD so it doesnt flop around or get into the fan.
7. Reconnect Battery"

I really don't want to damage anything. They do say that there is no way it will damage the computer.

So uh any suggestions on how I should install this?
