I'm first looking to change my intake manifold. I'm not sure what to go with right now, but over time, i plan to do trick flow twisted wedge heads and all that good stuff. I just want some ideas from people who have added things to cars with my current mod list, and get an idea of what will give me the best bang for my buck right now. No superchargers, no nitrous right now.

Hi Wayne

When I started playing around with my Stang I ported some E7's and added a few other small things like shorty headers and such.

After that I think I started to ask myself the same question as you are now.

I decided to go for things that would give the most gain at first like heads, cam, intake and the small gain stuff like tb, maf, exhaust, etc would be delt with later.

I guess the plan worked fairly good as it got me close to the 300 rwhp bench mark.

See the sig.

Get a Edelbrock or Trick flow intake. You won't be sorry. Since you are replacing the intake, you might as well do the cam at the same time. It will make thing easier & you will get much more of a power gain.

Definitley an intake manifold. They are a good bolt-on and really change the car. It will get you ready to do bigger and better things.

that's probably what i'll do first is the intake. So, what is the most common trick flow one, I hear a lot about the street heat, but on ebay all i see is the track heat. And for edelbrock which of theirs is better for streetable power.

Thanks.

for the street, you want the street heat from trickflow or the performer 5.0 from edelbrock. There is a gentleman on here with the name "tmoss" who does custom porting and all of his customers have recieved significant performance gains, you might just send the brand new manifold to him and let him do his magic.

and for god sakes man, remove the trailer hitch from your mustang.

Haha, ok, that works for me, about the trailer hitch, i actually use that thing, it's strange, i always wanted a vehicle with a trailer hitch, and when mom say's take the garbage, i can get it to the dump in a record amount of time, and it's great for towing motorcycles and four wheelers up here in the mountains, that car doesn't even know it's there.
