When im cruising at like a steady speed of about 70 to about 80 my over-drive light on my console starts to steadily flash on off on etc i havent been able to hook it up to a scan tool to check to see if theres any DTC's but could it possibly be the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission or something else?

I wonder if its your tune. Maybe its got something to do with the shift points.

Usually an OD light that is flashing is indicative of a tranny problem. It could be very minor, or it could be a major problem (you can usually tell a major problem before you get the light though). I would scan the code and goto www.tccoa.com and search the forums under "drivetrain" for the code and the fix.

does your car have a digital dash? If so there is a way to check to see if you have any codes without a scan tool....

no it doesn't..ive also been told by specialist friends of mine that it could be possibly that my chip is affecting it...also about 2 months ago, i installed my shift kit and am wondering if something has a loose connection somewhere possiblyin the valvebody neighborhood? ...also i dont seem to hear any noise and sometimes it dosent even flash, just occasionally

Bad news: usually if the OD light is flashing, the tranny is usually on its way out. Does it slip at all or have trouble shifting?
Better news: possibly just a loose connection or the tune is messing with it.
I would scan to see what the problem is and get it checked out. Don't want to see a dead Mustang on the side of the road if the "bad news" is correct.

well it wont necessarily slip, but if im accelerating more than normal sometimes itll basically not engage and rev up and ill have to let off for it to re-engage but that right htere is annoying in itself. this only happens for instances such as like passing someone on the highway, as if the governer pistion in the valve body is indecisive.i might have to take it to the grinder to insure that it dosent do that ne more ..but thats just a guess from what i know about ford tranny's...secondly it has no trouble shifting like manually. i love it it snaps really quick and i havent taken it to the track yet but im sure would perform awesome there
