idle air control valve

is there any difference between the IAC valve in a fox and the one in an sn95?

i dont know but i was wondering where this is on a fox and how hard is it to replace? if you know let me know. thanks

person in picture is holding the idle air bypass/control (sometimes called IAB or IAC). It is located on the throttle body.

so it looks pretty easy to replace. are they expensive cuz i had a suggestion to replace mine.

Not that expensive. But most times you can clean it and take care of any problem it is giving you.

They are the same thing, just look different. I'm pretty sure the housing (where it mounts to the TB) is the same, but am not positive.

Parts/carburetor cleaner.

they bolt up the same and they plug in the same but i am wondering if they take the same voltage. the ford place calls for two different part numbers

They do. I am using a Fox computer and wiring harness in my '65, but the engine started out as a SN95, so it still has the SN95 IAC, TPS, and TB. It works perfect.

i appreciate it man. i am in the same boat cuz i put a sn95 motor into my coupe. i know your asking what kind of an idiot would do that. the answer is this kind

Here is a pic of my engine. I circled the IAC. You can see, it's a lot smaller than the FOX IAC and it's black.

Here is some info on cleaning, setting, etc, the IAC and ancillary components/settings.

Theres a sticky thread at the top of this page about surging idles,it deals with the iab,,I just bought a new one 92 bucks It takes all of 2 minutes to change!!
