I am having problems getting my 89 to idle properly. Also after the vehicle gets to temp it begins to have a check engine light and will stumble, backfire and miss. These problem started from nowhere and im lost where to go next. I replaced the idle IAC, coolant temp sensor, and complete msd ignition, new calibrated BBK MAF and nothing yet. I try to ajust the idle screw and i have reset the ECU multiple times with no success. I dont know if it matters but I have an x303 cam, trick flow track heat intake manifold, BBK cold air intake, throttle body, egr plate and MAF, MSD ignition with a 6AL control box, hooker super comp headers, h-pipe, and flowmasters. I would appreciate any help i have such much time and money in this project and i still cant get it to run correctly. I tried setting the TPS as well does anyone think a bad TPS could cause all those problems. Also I am not running the smog pump so that sensor is obviouslt disconnected.

The quick and easy way to dump the codes is in there too, and all you need to do it is a paper clip! The first two posts contain all the updates to the fixes. At last count there were 24 possible causes and fixes for surging idle/stall problems. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.
