Hey guys I have a red 95 gt - BBK u/d pulleys, BBK x pipe, cold air intake, short-shifter, KC clutch-
First of all my volt meter is jumpin up and down n gets fairly low sometimes, but then i give it gas and it jumps up. BUT heres the problem, yesterday im racing a 300zx and just when im about to go into 3rd the car just doesnt pull for a second n then runs again...i came to a stop and the car dies. I start it up drive a block down n the she stalls again. I crank it, turns over, it starts but the moment i give it gas, it dies. So i decided to let it idle but when I start it, it idles normal for 3-5 seconds, RPMs start to jump up and down and it dies. I have no idea WTF is going on?? I had to get it towed last night since i couldnt move it, cause the moment i touch the gas pedal it starts surging and dies.
PLEASE HELP
Thanks guys !!!

check to make sure your intake tubing is all in attached correctly. it could have jostled loose and is now letting un-metered air into the engine. take off your alternator and have it bench tested to make sure your getting the proper volts out of it.

i would check the o2 sensors (see if the wires are damaged or came unplugged) and the pcv hoses

probably has nothing to do with it, but thought i would post it just incase

do you have a chip for your car? also, what do you have done to the internals of the engine? Mine was thrown off just because of the cold air and x pipe. Also, check your Throttle position sensor volts, it should be between .86 mV and .99 mV. That will make it hunt idle like you are saying.
