I recently installed a BBK 70mm auto body throttle w/spacer and an American Muscle cold air intake. When I start the car WITHOUT the MAF plugin everything runs fine - idle is good and car performance is great. As soon as I connect the MAF, it turns and dies...Took it to a shop that performed a diagnostic - registered 40 psi fuel pressure after installing a NEW MAF...although the same thing happened with it...ran fine NOT connected...died when it was connected.

Questions include:

Any solutions out there for this issue?

Is it safe to just leave the MAF disconnected?
