I have a 1998 mustang gt that I have started to notice a small issue with the idle. While idling the rpm fluctuate from about 750 down to 500 and when it does this it feels like it going to die and has a very slight shake. I know rpm fluctuating is normal, however, it only does this when I have a bunch of electronics on... headlights, heater, radio and fog lights. If I only have a couple of these components on it is perfect and doesn’t do it at all but as soon as I turn another on it starts.
I am wondering what would be a fix for this? Is there a problem with my battery, alternator, IAC? Or is there something I am missing here?
My car is wired for a subwoofer and amp but the dealership had taken those out and left the wiring... could having that still hooked up be a cause?
If anyone has any ideas of what the problem is or have any insight I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
