Idle Screw/rpms/battery voltage.

The 130 will not fit a 4 banger without major grinding. I brought it home and tried it but I'm not going to stress the integrity of the bracket to do it.

So I'm keeping this one

This is a picture from Rustbucket that he did to make the 130 fit. I'm just not ready to do this yet.

Will post tomorrow when I find out more what was replaced for sure. Sometimes I wish I had a new car, but new cars have problems too:)

That first pic ain't too bad really. A metal strip with 2 bends in it and 2 bolts with nuts/washers and you've got a 130 amp installed with no grinding of brackets. It doesn't have to be in the original orientation to work. it might require a slightly larger belt in that orientation but I doubt it.

I know you've got what you've got now and it works so if I were you I would stick with that aswell, should it go out on you however, it's something to consider.

Thanks again for the support guys :nice:

They got the part in today, but Ford had the wrong part in the box. So it will be tomorrow before they will have another one in, sure hope its the right one.

It is the egr solenoid switch. It doesn't show on any parts sites, but they took the Ford #'s off the oem part and Ford has ordered it for me. They said it was only used on like 2 years, $70.

They are supposed to reset my idle also. I hope to post tomorrow that I got her back. I'm just hoping the next part is boxed correctly and it fixed the problem. They seem pretty sure that the switch is the culprit. Gee thanks a lot for all the emissions guidelines set up by the government:mad:

This was the culprit causing my idle to go bonkers, lose brake pedal pressure, and generally run like it was on like its last leg. It was $50 from Ford, there is not an aftermarket manufacturer for it. They said it was only used in 92 and 93. My guess would be for the 2.3 Dual Plug Dis engines.

I also had to replace two vacuum lines due to them being so brittle they broke in my hand. Here is the old lines.

It is located on the backside of the passenger side strut tower.

I reset the idle again now that the engine is not starving for vacuum. I wonder if a 5.0 has this part too?
