Well I mess around with the iac today. It would not ideal under 1000rpms.
I played with it for a while and it droped between 7 to 800. I did go ahead
and purchase the prof product T/B and it works ok. Now I think I need an air/feul reg. When I hit the gas my a/f gauge go lean until i get off of it. Any
suggestion on where i can get one for a good price?

The air/fuel regulators are next to the blinker fluid at the parts store. Are you talking about an Optimizer?

If you really want to get rid of idle leanness (as seen with a WB), a tune/handheld is probably gonna be in order.

My two cents. I'm sure Grady et al will have some great ideas.

This is gonna be hard for me to do JT

but

As I'm a Texan, I will not tell you we do it bigger and better in this case

HOWEVER

We do indeed do it differently ...... in this case

In Texas, You'll find those air/fuel regulators thingies
between
the muffler bearings and metric crescent wrenches.

They were a PITA to find here let me tell you.

The tool to install it had to be orderd from the widget company and it took FOREVER to get it by pony express.

Only bad part is they are non-servicable, so they go bad have to get new ones, cannot just grease them up.

Are you running a wideband O2? Your narrowband O2's won't tell you your A/F ratio other than +-1 pt from stoic so your gage reading is probably bogus.

I never thought of a gauge as a regulator (regulation suggests you can do something about it).

I do understand what you all mean now. I guess I was lost in the high-tech jargon.

Ah Grady, you got me with the bigger and better (there is a joke there about me moving to Texas for physical enhancement, but I wont digress). John knows what I mean when I say that around here, the regulator would be between the pink gas powered scooter that's on sale for 149.99, and the fake nitrous bottles.

thanks for the help, also i took it out for a cruise
today and for some reason now my idle is hanging around 1600 if i get on it and let up off and come to a stop say a red light it will only idle at 15 to 1600. The first time it did it i press the gas and it went back to normal, but today i had to reset it again. What is going on here, the iac work find on the other throttle body.

Does the new TB have a hole in the throttle blade (Grady, if I call it a butterfly the kids give me a ).

Are you sure you dont have a vac leak? If you farted around with the idle bleed on the IAC, that can cause some funkyness (dont ask how I know).

If you have the car warm and unplug the IAC, what happens?

Greg, that was some funny chit. You guys do know there are really muffler bearings [of sorts], right? For real. I do not know if they are sealed though.

ok the t/b does not have a small hole in it, and when i unplug the iac the car idle rough for a while
like it wants to cut off.

I dont know what the other folks think, but it seems like the IAC might be hanging up if disco'ing the IAC makes the idle come way down. (since the difference is so drastic).

On foxes you can measure the duty cycle with an oscilliscope - but I hear the SN IAC is different so I dont have a clue how to test it, other than doing a resistance test (which is kinda useless for this issue).

Let's see what the wise folks say.

well it don't come down until i adjust it, it still runs
high when i crank it but idle like it wants to die. I
research and found out that the restrictor plates
work well with the sn95. When i got my t/b there was a gasket that look like it had a defect b/c the holes were not center on the iac correctly so i reused the old one. Come to find out i think that it was right and i'm going to install it and see if that solve my hanging idle
