I am having trouble getting this idler arm off. I have tried banging on the center link with a hammer. I am just trying to get it off so I can put a roller bearing kit in. If I could get the bushing out without having to take it off that would work as well so any tip to help get the kit installed either way would be appreciated.

Dodgestang I might run into the issue you referenced in an earlier thread...with the idler arm bracket. I am not sure yet...hopefully not but worst comes to worst I will just order a 67 bracket.

You are using the wrong tool...or at least I think you are. I have used pitman arm pullers and that worked really well. The puller had a socket so I could use a ratchet to get some torque and just pop it off. You can try the hammer but I think you will find you have a hard time hitting it with enough force because of clearance issues. Good luck removing the bushings.... that was a pain in the ass for me compared to getting the idler arm off.
