anyone ever had this problem
the car idles perfectand i drive all day fine but if i barely tap the gas at idle the tach goes up and the then down real low and barely survives. 50%of the time a light quick tap to bring it up to 1200 rpms will result in a stall when the rpms die back down to go idle
its weird could this be vacuum leak
im not sure how to find a vacuum leak i searched for something but im a noob and still learning

vac leak would not have been my first guess.

Have you retrieved codes? if you see anything with the IAC and/or EGR, jump on those. cleaning the IAC might help, and if your EGR is on the fritz, it can lead to issues not unlike what you experience.

good luck.

IAC/IAB (same thing)= Idle Air Control/Idle Air Bypass.

it is the cylinder lookin deal on the front of the TB. Here is some info on it and cleaning it:

http://www.muscularmustangs.com/iac.php

EGR is an emissions device which, simply put, introduces exhaust gas at cruise (i.e. freeway driving). but if it malfunctions or allows spent gasses into the motor at idle (which it should not), the idle can degrade.

I would pull codes, clean the IAC, clear the KAM and go from there.

good luck.

you should have an IAC unless you have a carb and are holding out on us. :)

it might look different or be in a different spot (or upside down), but it should be present.

good luck.
