Idling problems.

You'll be needing a tune. Basically, you are flowing a lot more air at idle than the computer is programmed for, so it's trying to make your car idle at it's "programmed" airflow numbers.
Here's another recent thread along the same lines:

And the numbers I used:

The 2031 is friendly for 86-93 computers, which are different than ours. Ours calculate everything off of load, which is MAF airflow, basically....

I need to reset my idle as well but I cannot adjust the idle stop. I see the screw but there is no nut just a brass/teflon piece. How in the HE** do I adjust this thing? I set the idle before with just the IAC but that makes the car idle too fast during decels.

Well, FWIW I found a way to adjust the throttle stop screw. I used my dremmel with a cut-off wheel to notch the top of the rod. I then used a straight screwdriver to back the rod out (you could stop here and use the notch for the adjustment.) I went to Home Depot and ended up getting a #10 32 x 1 1/4" screw with washer and nut. Now I can easily adjust the hard stop. I will soon be resetting the base idle and hopefully this will resolve the car stalling at a stop. I am now running the stock computer with a SCT custom tune and I still have idle issues. I will repost in a few days with results. Sorry to hijack the thread.
