Yeah,...I can see how you'd associate a carburetor system mega popular from the sixties through the late seventies,.... as getting away from the look and feel of a 70 mach 1, and liken the modification to a fuel injected hoopty from what,.............
..............one of last years episodes of Unique Whips?

#1,...That mach 1 is never what I tried to emulate. The rake and tire choice on that mach 1 is just bad. 15" 50 series tires hanging a mile outta the quarters is just as bad to me as the pimp my ride vert riding on 20's in the bottom picture. You wanna offer up a reference photo of a late 60's Mustang I took my inspiration from?,.... might I suggest:

#2. Search any forum where the carb system I'm talking about is desired, (Cobra and GT40 forums specifically) and nobody there is suggesting that stepping up from the single Holley carb that came stock on the 289/302/427/ and 428's to 4 webers is going backwards in any way.

" Hey driver, when we go by the MickeyD's, can you get on it a little?... My friends think this bad boy is slow........"

That part's easy... ever try getting your mom out of church on-time so you can get a couple runs in at the track before it closes? :fuss: ...and THEN... she granny shifts the whole damned quater mile. :bang: It a Corolla for cryin' out loud! You gotta drive dat chit like you stoled it!
