Now Joe Boosted Stang had to have that 6" cowl for his 4" intake spacer...

It's a total sleeper... I didn't opt for any wimpy 2-valve tho.

i guess im just a redneck. but the last pump gas, iron ported stock headed, flat tappet cammed, .040 over stock crank windsor runs 10.80s @ 122 on motor for under $3000 total. so whatever.

The trouble with you carb guys is that you don't think big...

Here's a real 4 barrel carb: notice the 4 venturis




Notice the 8 1/2 x 11 page sitting inside the carb throat.


For reference sake, it's a Bendix PR100 pressure carb from a P&W R4360 28 cylinder aircraft engine. 4300 HP, 4360 cubic inch displacement...

Here's a cutaway view for those who like to look inside...

Now THAT looks complicated.

Always wondered what the engineers did to try and keep an old carbureted plane from running outa fuel when things changed,.......altitude,........barometric pressure,............steep climbs, descents, or inversion.

That makes the Webers look like a picnic.

Yeah makes you think...since altitude and all that effects how a carb works...somehow they made it work.

Looks like it might be a 292/312 Y block out of the late 50's T Bird

That exhaust would look hot as hell if it were dripping in shiny ceramic coating.
