My vote is no. When I think of a sleeper, I think the entire exterior should be factory stock, MAYBE lowering springs or some other suspension mods. I think sleepers should have the stock rims and no stickers on the windows and even a high flowing, but quiet exhaust for the true sleeper effect. People would just be like "WTF just happened??? "when they get their doors blown off by a quiet, stock looking stang.

Drag radials on stock wheels. Deep dish Bullitts (Crager SS, let's call 'em what they were originally) would throw off the sleeper look. Exhaust should be mild. Nothing on the exterior should hint at whats under the hood.

a mustang can never be a sleeper unless it is a V6 or 4 cyclinder. People expect Mustangs to be fast exspecially newer ones.

I disagree. Now you can add to the sleeper look by replacing the bumper and removing badges but even without that, if you go from a low 14/high 13 car to a mid 12/high 11, it still would surprise the LS1 F body/Vette who happened to come along since they are quicker than any stock 'Stang.

I also disagree! I belive the black bullets with deep dish and
a Mach1 chin spoiler on a black stang would look awesome! I don't
have a truck.

If you really wanted to pull off the "sleeper" look, try this:

-wing delete
-V6 tribar badges on fenders
-remove rear GT emblem
-Crown Vic cop car wheels (stamped steel with push in centers)

That would give you the stripped down look of some of the older muscle cars. The wheels would be the closest thing you could get to dog-dish caps used in the 60s-70s.

Also, around here Mustangs aren't really thought of as fast unless its a Cobra.

huh ?

I think the deep dish rims will make it no longer look like a sleeper. That one of the meanest looks there is for Mustangs.

v6 wheels, no wing, v6 badges, v6 rear bumper, un exposed turn downs hidden behind it. get rid of the hood scoop. that would be as sleeper as you can get.

If you want to be a sleeper install large aluminum wing and chinese writing across windows with a carbon fiber hood and 20 inch rims Every one will think your stang is slow

Let me ask you something. Does this look like a sleeper? You cannot put black wheels on a black car and not get lots of attention! here take a look.

No.....I don't think that looks like a sleeper. A sleeper is something you don't expect, or see coming. That car looks pretty good and pretty mean. It would have to be stock, or v6ish, with a 14psi kenne bell charged 4-valve. Get it???

you can get away with the deep dish rims as long as you replace your badges with import badges.

This is a true sleeper:

Sleepers are very cool. I would just lower it and leave it at that.
De-badging is also very effective.

I ran into a sleeper one time...well an attempted sleeper. I rev at this gt infront of me, all of a sudden I hear a v-8 rev behind me. I look back and i'm like wtf? That's a v-6! He pulls next to me; totally de-badged, spoiler removed. stock height, he even had the ugly ass v-6 15in rims on there with pepboy tires. However he was defintely running a v-8 with flows. Too bad it was all bark and no bite...I destroyed this guy sooo bad. It was still awesome though.
Probly a stock gt motor underneath, perfect rice-rocket sleeper. It will kill ricers, but not any built v-8.
