I have always loved the RUF edition Porsches...since I was a teenager:jaw:

I had to make this decision and I ended up w/ a Ford Ranger Pickup(I needed a 4x4 for winter and a pickup bed for my ATV).
Then I picked up a '91 Firebird as a second sports car.(Mustangs are just too pricey and the t-tops are nice)
Eventually I'll probably get a newer mustang but they are just too expensive right now. Plus my firebird is pretty fun w/ t-tops and manual tranny, although the 5.0 is a little weak compared to more modern stuff.

Other than pumping some repair money into my '98 Jetta TDI(has been parked since Nov '06)and ride my '00 Suzuki Bandit 1200S...I would build this little gem of a car right here...Factory Five kit car. I will build this sometime in the distant future! Can be done for around $20K. And I WON'T be afraid to drive it around on public roads!!!!!

That's a great car, Kooldawg! I've been wanting to build a Factory Five Cobra for quite awhile now. Originally, I was planning to use parts from my 88 GT, but it's starting to be more valuable now since it has t-tops and they're getting very scarce.

Without my new 197 I'd need 2 cars, a commuter car and a fun car. I'd probaly have a new low option Sentra to run heck out of and I'd look for either a 89-93 5.0Fox coupe or a 96-98 Cobra, or I could always get around to finishing up my '90 Thunderbird S/C 5-spd.

The local tire shop last month while I was getting my car inspected had 2 Shelby cars there. In the parking lot was an original GT350(decent shape with some tacky mods-mostly the gawdy looking speaker setup in the back ledge and various interior bits:nonono: ). Then in on of the bays up on a lift was a Factory Five Cobra. The hood was up so I took a peak...4.6 L...with a supercharger:jaw: I aksed one of the shop guys and he said it was a 2004 block. Imagine if it were one of the new 3V blocks:jaw: :jaw:
If I were to build the Daytona Coupe now, I would go for a semi-built 5.0 due to financial reasons. Being that this car is probably 10 years down the road for me however, it may be possible to put a newer mod motor in her:nice:
