If U Have Steeda CAI - Help!

Hello!

I just installed the Steeda CAI. Nice looking unit. The instructions did not say anything about removing the screen that comes with the factory air box/MAF. However, the Steeda filter box does not fit to the stock MAF with it attached. Did you remove this screen, or am I doing something wrong.

It fits perfectly without the screen. It really looks liek the screen is not supposed to be there.

I removed mine just for the hell of it.
I dont think it matters. If you buy a pro-m, it wont have a screen.
BTW, my steeda cai never gets hot. I drove my car for about 2hrs straight the other day and even raced some snot nose kid in a lexus on the way home.
I opened the hood as soon as I pulled in the driveway and grabbed the
tube and it was not even warm. This was in 80 degree sunny weather at
3:00 in the afternoon.
