I have read a few threads and viewed a few diagrams, but I can't seem to get a clear answer to a question I feel like I already answered to myself. I just need a little clarification. I do not have all the wiring hooked back up from my engine swap and turbo install, keep in mind that the drivetrain is from my 88 that was wrecked (but converted to MAF)
Two wires make up the plug that attaches to the factory coil. These are a red wire with green stripe and a yellow wire with what looks like an orange stripe, it is hard to tell with the fading. The red/green wire is nearest to the engine with the yellow wire on the driver's side of the coil. I used my Fluke meter and found that the Red/Green wire shows continuity to ground, the yellow wire does not. I have the Accel Super Coil from my 88, but it has the posts with hot and ground. So... My question is does the red/green wire really go to the negative on the coil with the yellow to the hot side? Or does the coil just go straight to a ground with both wires on the hot side? Or is one of them the tach wire that goes somewhere altogether different? I will post a pic shortly.
Thanks!
Rob
