Ignition for Electric Fan?

With the DC controller, the yellow wire can be connected to any key-on hot source to trigger the controller to shut-off regardless of temperature.

Does anyone know any convenient key-on hot wires that aren't too tough to tap into under the hook? I was looking at the wiper motor, but not sure which wire is which.

Sometimes the fan runs for a short time after the car is shutoff and the car sounds weak next time I go to start it up. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks, CJ

You can use the low coolant sensor if you have one. VPWR would also work. A convenient place to grab it is at the EVAP purge solenoid (it's in front of the bottom passenger-side of the radiator).

No low coolant sensor. And I don't know what that abbreviation is (VPWR) so you lost me there.

Thanks to S&2B's (host) and Tom Moss (author).

Look at the output from the EEC relay. All those red wires are VPWR, or key-on 12 volt feeds to most all of your solenoids, injectors, the coil, and so on. Included is the Purge solenoid. With something like the purge solenoid, it's a two wire solenoid so it's easy to find the VPWR wire.
