Hey all....I am installing an electric fan and aluminum radiator.

Trying to find the easiest ignition powersource I can towards the front of the car if at all possible.

Something I can t-tap. If there isn't any, anything under the hood would be cool....preferably on the driver side.

Any suggestions?

Theres a 12v ignition source in the wiring going to the radiator overflow tank. Thats what I tapped into for my fan controller.

I am sure you were but make sure and use a relay.

Or use the 12v ignitions switch source from the AC WOT relay, or canister purge solenoid.

Yeah, I have a relay that came with the controller. The overflow sensor seems the easiest spot since its right there.

Now if I could just find a place to put the temp sensor! The hole in the manifold near the front already has my temp gauge sensor in it. The hole in the aluminum radiator is one size too small it seems.

Gonna try the waterneck next.

You can get a water neck with a 3/8" NPT port in it from many parts stores. They're about 10 bucks. Be sure to treat/paint it because it rusts.

If you tap into the CANP or a similar circuit, I would use a 3 amp fuse on the new wire you run. That way if your new wiring goes south, hopefully it will not affect the donor circuit.
A lot of people are not very good at wiring (not directed at anyone here), so I generally don't recommend using anything that's married to the EEC-IV.

Thanks! I think my water neck has the hole already in it....it has this crazy big flat head screw on the top of it that I just need to try to loosen.

I'm cool with wiring as long as I'm confident on what wires I'm attaching too! Thus I double and triple check before making any actual connections. Guess it wouldn't hurt to throw a fuse inline for that connection, thanks for the idea!
