i have a 85 mustang that i just converted to a v8 and my key will not start the car so i checked the ignition solonoid and the wire that plugs on to it from the ignition isnt hot so i looked under the dash and the wire that runs to the solonoid and it isnt hooked up to anything it has a plug type end on it but i dont see anywhere it would plug up so if any one has any info on where it would plug in let me kno thanks jj

the solenoid trigger goes from the ignition key to, amongst other places, the clutch pedal and/or auto trans (safety interlock devices) and then on to the starter solenoid.

what i might do: test if the connector you found has a terminal which is hot during crank?

good luck.
