so i was giving the poor abused mustang a tune up today, i did new cap, rotor, wires, msd blaster coil, and an accel TFI module thingy. Now that last one is where my question comes from. Since i put that on i cant get my car to run at WOT above 4000 right at 4 it starts cutting out. I put the stock piece back in and runs fine. Any thoughts as to why this doesnt work??

Haha not sure. Its just the run of the mill accel performance replacement. I wouldnt think a "performance" part would have a limit of 4000 though. Also i forgot to mention it only does it under load. I can free rev it to over 5 grand but when driving it cuts at 4. I was thinking maybe it was just messing up my computer cause i am running a SD car

I must have missed something - my first guess would have simply been that you got a bad module. I would see if you can swap it for another at the store you got it from and see what it does.

Good luck.

When you put the ign module on did you apply white grease to it or is it dry?

You should be using something closer to heat sink grease or dielectric grease.

Good luck.

upon further inspection it may not be a bad one but it is the wrong one, i looked up the part number and there are 2 one for an auto and one for a 5-speed they sent me the one for a auto. Thats prolly where my problem is
